My Favorite Things

Every creative person has a bag of tricks. Here's mine: monochromatic tones, contrast, solid lines,
alignment, grids, cleanliness, focal points, simplicity, power, humor, empathy, fun, high craftsmanship,
attention to the details, and pure love for white space. Oh, and sandwiches.

What's Important

When it comes to design, I judge success by the number of people positively touched by my work.
Craftsmanship plays a big role, of course, but in the end I believe design should make people happy or,
at the very least, not upset them. It can be hard to market and not annoy, but that's the point.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• simplify complex design problems into engaging user experiences
• communicate the value of UX to business, design and technology teams
• work collaboratively and independently as a self-starter
• conduct front-end analysis and requirements gathering through interviewing, focus groups, etc.
• use story boarding, user scenario development, high-level use case definition, user and task analysis to capture and develop user requirements and integrate elements into user interaction designs
• create, evaluate, and deliver high- and low-fidelity prototypes and facilitate iterative testing
• design highly usable interfaces for multiple interactive channels (web, mobile, tablet, kiosk)
• design and develop usability testing plans

QUALIFICATIONS
• 3-5 years of professional experience
• Bachelor's Degree - preferably, Information Technology, Marketing or related degree
• solid experience with appropriate tools including Adobe Creative Suite
• strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology
• have a portfolio of your work that includes UX deliverable samples and final user interfaces
